Billikens Impacting the Future, an inaugural event sponsored by the SLU Physical Therapy Student Association, will raise funds for the Marquette Challenge for The Foundation for Physical Therapy Research.
The VCU-Marquette Challenge benefitting The Foundation for Physical Therapy Research is a grassroots effort for students to build leadership skills as well as elevate research in the field of physical therapy from SLU faculty and alumni. Every donation makes it possible to fund scholarships, fellowships, and research grants. Students develop experiences that contribute to their professional growth as well as cultivating networks.
These events, in partnership with alumni, develop an awareness of the physical therapist's role in addressing healthcare inequities as well as the need for future research to elevate the medical communities.
